Accessibility

Last updated October 21, 2026

We want everyone to be able to use Bold Beluga, including people who use a screen reader, a keyboard instead of a mouse, voice control, zoom or high contrast settings. Bold Beluga is run by Helstad Digital (org. no. 838 699 472), Alexander Helstad's sole proprietorship in Norway.

The standard we work to

We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA on our website and in the app. Our last review was on October 21, 2026: an automated check of every public page and the main app pages in light and dark mode, checks with a keyboard, and a check of what screen readers are told on sign-up, the review page and the plan page. We fix what we find and check again when we make changes.

What we've done

  • Text and controls have enough contrast in both light and dark mode.
  • Everything can be used with a keyboard, with a visible focus outline and a “Skip to content” link.
  • Anything you can drag, like a post on the calendar, can also be moved with a button.
  • Messages that go away by themselves wait while your pointer or keyboard is on them.
  • Images that carry meaning have text descriptions; decorative images are hidden from screen readers.
  • Pictures we publish to Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn get alt text, written automatically, that says what each one shows and the words on it.
  • Error messages say what went wrong and are read out by screen readers, next to the field they're about.
  • Animations stop when your device asks for reduced motion, and video clips play once, without sound.
  • Pages follow your device's light or dark setting and work when zoomed to 200%.

Known limitations

  • Payments run on Stripe's checkout and billing pages, and “Continue with Google” on Google's sign-in page. Those pages are made by Stripe and Google.
  • Posts we publish for you appear on Facebook, Instagram and other platforms, whose own apps and websites are made by those platforms.
  • Some post images have their headline set in the picture. Screen readers get those words from the picture's description in the app and from the alt text we publish with it.
